Black Professional Men, Inc. (BPM) in partnership with the Wayland Village Senior Apartments Center brought Seasons Greetings during the Annual Christmas Holiday Luncheon held at the Center
(Baltimore, Md.) January 20, 2015 – It is always good to give back especially while the bells are ringing during the festive Christmas Holiday Season. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once said “Everybody can be great… because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.” It was in that spirit that Black Professional Men, Inc. (BPM) provided a $100.00 food donation and participated in serving the food during the Annual Christmas Holiday Luncheon held at the Wayland Village Senior Center on Friday, December 19, 2014. “This annual event brings joy and happiness to the resident of Wayland Village Senior Center and they look forward to attending it every year”, says Ms. Debbie Knutt, Director of the Center. Also on hand to take part in this festive event was the Asset Manager of Housing Ms. Christine T. Boone, who provided the landscape of how the Wayland Village Senior Center fits into the Bon Secours Baltimore Health System. The food was mouth watering delicious, and was cooked by the many of the residents of the center and included turkey and dressing, green beans, macaroni and cheese and some of the finest cakes this side of Mason Dixon line. The food was so good that a couple of UPS drivers stopped by to partake in a some homemade cooking, and you know it is good when the maintenance technician of the Wayland Village Senior Center, takes time out of his busy schedule to participate in the festive occasion.
BPM is committed to serving the community and giving back to our seniors is an integral component spearheaded by the Community Relations Committee of BPM. “This is the continuation of a long lasting partnership with the Wayland Village Senior Center as we give back to those who have given so much to us,” says Theodore R. Allen III, Chairman of BPMs Community Relations Committee.
