Million Man Posting
“Everybody can be great...because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.”

Black Professional Men, Inc. has engaged with Hello My Name is KING!’s Million Man Post Challenge to instill positive perceptions of Black males through social media
Baltimore, MD – January 21, 2015 - Black Professional Men, Inc. offers an invitation to local Baltimore area churches and organizations to participate in providing crucial resources to community children, leveraging partnerships with the mentoring based organizations within Metro Baltimore. BPM is especially supportive of our recent collaboration with the “Hello, My Name is KING” campaign.
Hello My Name is KING's mission is to create a platform for positive Black male images and impact the internal and external perceptions of Black men and boys. The average person is constantly bombarded with negative media images, and in the context of Black males, there is no difference. Hello My Name is King is about challenging mainstream perceptions and elevating the way one thinks in order to progress. According to a 2010 article published in Psychologist Today, a positive perspective has the ability to be spread to other people live a virus. The program's vision is a society where Black boys and teens are encouraged to break barriers, publicly value themselves, and make a difference in their communities.
Hello My Name is KING's Million Man Post Challenge is targeted specifically to Black male youth, who are greatly influenced by a variety of environmental entities, including: their families, schools, churches, and by mass media. The majority of Black youth log into social media at least once every day. We are recruiting one million youth to post photos and videos of Black male youth demonstrating excellence. Each post will have an accompanying caption indicating what makes the nominated young man a King. The movement kicks off following January 20th (Martin Luther King Jr. birthday) and will operate throughout 2015.
Hello My Name is KING is interested in forming partnerships with organizations who will like to include their youth group and/or recruit youth to join the Million Man Post Challenge. Sponsors are needed in the follow areas: Million Man Post Buttons for Organizations and Groups; Local Fundraising Events for the Hello My Name is King Scholarship; as well as the 1st Suit initiative - this invitation is being offered to churches and places of worship, to participate in providing crucial resources to community children.
